I feel like I've actually just read something written by Duo Maxwell and not a piece of fanfiction. You captured the characters of all beautifully in this. Nice to read a bit of feel good stuff every now and again! ^_^

Author's Response: Thanks! There's a perception in certain areas of fandom that a protective and/or possessive Heero is automatically belittling or insulting towards Duo. I thought it would be interesting to look at the situation in another way.

I absolutely adored this fic -- I love the way you write their relationship as one of balance, and of give-and-take. As a side-note, my desktop picture is the promotional pic of Heero glaring and protectively holding a smirking Duo (I'm sure you know the one!), and seeing it out of the corner of my eye made me appreciate the fic that much more. A lovely treat to read!
